…And So It Begins
Wednesday, January 29, 2020 – Another tax season is underway, but before things get too busy, LSWG principals and staff got together in early January for the firm’s annual Kick-off to Tax Season.
The all-day event, held at Walker’s Overlook in Walkersville, kicked off with a humorous look at our chosen profession: Thomson Reuters’, “When I Grow Up I Want to Be an Accountant” video. Managing Principal, Barbara Roman, presented The Year in Review (a look-back at 2019), then got down to business with the day’s objective: discussing what is happening at every level of the firm, improving communications, and developing critical thinking skills.
Guest facilitators for the day were Kelly Frager, who delivered an entertaining and informative workshop on business etiquette, and Julie Gaver who reminded us that “Success is an Inside Job” and got everyone on their feet for some noisy and animated team-building.
The day also celebrated LSWG being named Best of the Best accounting firm in Frederick–for the fifth year in a row.
