LSWG ANNOUNCES ADDITIONS TO PRINCIPAL GROUP AND STAFF PROMOTIONS
LSWG is pleased to announce the addition of two new members to its principal group and two staff promotions. Admitted to LSWG’s principal group are Edmond B. “Ted” Gregory, CPA, ASA, and Eva Webb, CPA. Promoted to manager and staff accountant II, respectively, are Lisa A. Frushour, CPA, and David A. Wolford.
Returning to LSWG after a 15-year hiatus, Ted Gregory has accepted the position of principal and will head up the Business Valuation and Accounting Services practices in LSWG’s Frederick office. Mr. Gregory is a former managing principal of LSWG. He first joined the firm as an audit supervisor in 1978. After over 20 years with LSWG, he left to join Randall Family, LLC (owner of The Frederick News-Post daily newspaper and FNP Printing & Publishing commercial printing). Mr. Gregory was CFO and COO during a tumultuous time in the newspaper industry, overseeing acquisition, development, and construction of a $60 million office and printing facility and managing the company through the Great Recession.
Mr. Gregory is a graduate of Washington & Lee University, where he earned a B.S. with special attainments in commerce, and holds an MBA from Hood College, an Accredited Senior Appraiser designation, is a Senior Professional in Human Resources Management, and is a Certified QuickBooks® ProAdvisor. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Maryland Association of CPAs, and the American Society of Appraisers (where he is a past president of the Maryland chapter). Active in several local organizations, he is a member, founder and past president of the Rotary Club of Carroll Creek, a past president of the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce, and serves on the City of Frederick Airport Commission.
A private pilot, avid hiker and camper, scuba diver, and home brewer, Mr. Gregory and wife, Helen—a Frederick native—live in Frederick City, and are the parents of daughters, Lane and Brodie, and the grandparents of Justice and Nia.
Eva Webb has been promoted to principal in LSWG’s Rockville office. Ms. Webb’s LSWG history dates back to 1999 when she first joined the firm as a student intern and later accepted the position of staff accountant. After briefly working with another local CPA firm, Ms. Webb returned to LSWG in 2013 as an audit manager in LSWG’s Rockville office.
Ms. Webb has over 16 years of public accounting experience and specializes in audits of closely-held businesses, local governments, trade associations, and not-for-profit organizations. She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Maryland Association of CPAs, and is a graduate of Mount St. Mary’s University, where she earned an MBA in 2004 and a B.S. in accounting in 2000.
Ms. Webb is a board member of the Mental Health Association of Frederick County and is an active volunteer with numerous other local nonprofit organizations. Originally from Frederick County, Ms. Webb and her son, Jack, reside in Clarksburg, Maryland.
Lisa A. Frushour, CPA, has been promoted to manager in the Audit & Tax Department of LSWG’s Frederick office. Ms. Frushour has been with LSWG over 13 years providing accounting, tax, and audit support for nonprofit organizations, governmental entities, and closely-held businesses. A Certified QuickBooks® ProAdvisor, Ms. Frushour specializes in guiding clients through the intricacies of the software and utilizing it to optimize results. A summa cum laude graduate of Frederick Community College and Frostburg State University, Ms. Frushour earned her Associates degrees in accounting and business management in 2000 and 2003, respectively, and a Bachelor’s degree in accounting in 2003. She is a recipient of the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce “Academic Excellence in the Business Career Curriculum” award, and a past treasurer of the United Way of Frederick County. Ms. Frushour and her husband, Doug, reside in Myersville.
David A. Wolford has been promoted to Staff Accountant II in the Small Business Services Department in LSWG’s Frederick office. Mr. Wolford joined LSWG in June of 2014 and provides accounting services to owner-managed businesses. He specializes in payroll and financial statement preparation and is a Certified QuickBooks® ProAdvisor. Prior to joining LSWG, he managed a franchise restaurant in Hagerstown. A graduate of Frostburg State University, where he earned a B.S. in business administration in 2010 and a B.S. in accounting in 2013, Mr. Wolford resides in Hagerstown—where he just became a first-time homeowner.
