NEW Maryland Tax Credit on Student Loans

A tax credit has been made available for 2018 Maryland tax returns for individuals with student loan balances in excess of $20,000.  The catch:  The application is due by September 15, 2018.

The credit is available to taxpayers who have incurred at least $20,000 in student loan debt and have at least $5,000 in outstanding student loan debt remaining.  To see if you qualify, download the application, or for more information, visit the Maryland Higher Education Commission website by clicking here.
